Résumé : | A vigorously written critique if the book "Battle for the mind" in which the author, Dr. William Sargant, raises, on psychological grounds, important questions concerning the nature of Christian conversion. Dr. Lloyd-Jones, after summarizing Dr. Sargant's main thesis, discusses some of its implications and examines in particular the author's interpretation of Pentecost, and the conversions of St. Paul and John Wesley. In a concluding section he urges that Christians should take warning from the evidence which Dr. Sargant has adduced and reconsider most carefully their evangelistic methods. |
