The usual criticism against chronologies is that they tend to make history look merely like unrelated dates and unrelated events. This book is one of the first serious attempt at making chronologies make real historical sense, especially to an African student of Church history.
The question is: of what specific interest is the 2000 - year history of the Christian Church to an African whose own church dates hardly a hundred years back?
