In keeping with the thesis that eschatology is a reality involving both the present and the future, the book is divided into two sections. The first section, Inaugurated Eschatology, deals with the present fulfilment of the kingdom of God and the ongoing experience of the redeemed community.
A substantial appendix discusses recent trends in eschatology, referring (among others) to the work of Bultmann, Cullmann and Moltmann. |
