Résumé : |
This book does not attempt to present an account of all the theories about the Eucharist which from time to time, in the long history of Christian doctrine, have been postulated. It traces down the centuries the Evangelical interpretation—the exegesis of those whose appeal is always first to the plain meaning of Holy Scripture, and who interpret scriptural language rather by the aid of chastened reason than by the canons of tradition.
This book is not issued by any organisation, society or group of Evangelicals; it is the work of a number of students, several of whom have devoted half a life-time to the periods which they treat. |
