Résumé : |
Science versus Christianity: an inevitable conflict. Or so many people assume. But are the two mutually exclusive? Are scientific thought-forms totally alien to Christian concepts?
Theories of determinism and cosmology are two of th traditional battle-grounds. These and other key ideas in modern science, and their impact on Christian beliefs, were discussed in depth at a conference of the Research Scientists' Christian Fellowship. In writing up the findings and points at issue, Professe Jeeves has drawn on the papers given and on the subsequent discussion. The book brings together the thinking of many prominent scientists who are committed to a belief in biblical Christianity. And it shows that science and Christian faith are not enemies but allies. |
