I see a grave danger in telling this story. Many may feel that we see ourselves as something “special”, because God has blessed us as He has. You may suspect, too, that we offer our experiences as a basis by which others’ devotion and relationship to God may be judged.
Oh, friend, please believe that this is the very last thing we want to do. We can't judge anybody; your relationship to God is between you and Him. We simply share, in great joy and humility, what He's done for us. If it inspires you to seek more of the living God, in your own private way, in your own solitary time with Him, this book will have achieved its only purpose. We are not criteria for anybody else: we, too, are searching and seeking more of Him. So we commit and dedicate this effort to the living Jesus. |
