| Résumé : | It took a man of unique character and conviction to found a religion which today has almost a billion adherents. This book endeavours to evaluate Muhammad objectively with the purpose of getting as close to the original as possible. In addition to a biographical record there are chapters analysing his personality and the nature of his prophetic experience. A final chapter looks at his image in popular Islam. It is the author’s conviction that Christians seeking to witness to Muslims will need to know just how deeply the love of Muhammad is entrenched in their hearts if they wish to communicate effectively with them. |
