You are reading along in your Bible—no problems. You come to a part about the Passover, or leavening, or the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Your mind slides över the words. You lose interest. Part of the problem may be that you just do not know enough about the Passover celebration. If, however, you were an Orthodox Jew, your knowledge of the Passover could help you relate to what you are reading.
Christ in the Passover does not make you an Orthodox Jew, but it does give you interesting information about the Passover so that you can relate to references to it—instead of sliding over them. And the information can also help you see Christ, the Messiah, as the Passover Lamb. |
