Résumé : |
THE OUTLINED BIBLE first made its appearance 60 years ago, after it was introduced at the Mildmay Conference Hall, London, as a series of chalkboard studies. The book has since sold many hundreds of thousands of copies in different languages. This new edition has been carefully revised, reset, and brought up to date for today’s Bible student.
Commenting on such studies as these, the late Dr. Pierson wrote these timely words: “In beginning the study of a book it is well to take a forward glance over its entire contents, as we look over the map of a country or district we are about to explore, to get the lay of the land, or from a moutain-top to get a survey of the entire horizon.” Each book of the Bible is introduced and analyzed on a separate large format page, so the reader can take in all the key elements at a glance—who the author is, the background to the writing of the book, its key passages, style, and theme. The clear analysis in chart form for easy assimilation of information breaks down each book into its main sections for convenient study. |
