Résumé : |
The Bible student without knowledge of the Greek language has in Professor Kenneth S. Wuest’s popular Greek word studies a highly useful access to the original language of the New Testament. Like the other volumes in the series (see back flap to jacket) Treasures from the Greek New Testament treats only those things which the student of the English Bible cannot obtain for himself, and presents the material in a simple, non-technical way so that it can be understood by everyone.
The present volume chooses some strategic words and concepts used throughout the New Testament: grace, love, a very practical chapter on Pauline tactfulness, and a chapter called Greek Grammar and the Deity of Christ, and presents an expanded translation from the Greek catching the delicate turns of thought and shades of meaning. The reader is thus carried over a whole language barrier and is enabled to understand in a systematic way the more complete and richer meaning of the New Testament as this was originally recorded. |
