Résumé : | Unlike most books on preaching, this book was written specially for lay preachers by a lay preacher. Concerned in most of his activities in improving the efficiency of Sunday School teaching, the author has tackled the problem of preaching in the same way. Every denomination has its non-professional preachers, and this book shows that they need not be ‘small editions of the real thing’ but true ambassadors and spokesmen for their Lord. Above all, this is a practical book dealing with preacher and congregation as they really are, and principles which relate both to the message itself and to the method of conveying it are herein re-emphasised. The author has succeeded in not only pointing out the target but explaining in detail how to , score a hit. |
