This book is dedicated to God’s ministers for their personal use. It presents part of what was printed formerly in four volumes of Al-Hidaya (“The True Guidance”), published in the early 1900’s. This series refutes the attacks against Christianity which were circulated in two earlier texts: Izhar al-Haqq (“The Revelation of the Truth”) and al-Sayf al-Hamidi al-Saqil (“The Furbished Hamidi Sword”). More recent attacks from other sources have also been included.
Most of the attacks against Christianity originated at the beginning of the nineteenth century - regrettably among Bible scholars. This movement was called Higher and Lower Criticism. Conservative Christian clergymen disputed these writings and proved their fallacy. Currently, the writings of the Biblical criticism movement are held in low esteem, yet Muslim clerics still cite them as if they were reliable. Furthermore, scholars in Arab universities continue to teach them without providing their students an opportunity to examine the refutations. This second volume of The True Guidance offers a general introduction to the Old Testament books. Also included are the false charges against them, as well as the refutations. These have been classified according to their arrangement in the Bible. Part One of The True Guidance deals with the infallibility of revelation and the sins of the prophets; Part Three, with the false charges against the New Testament; Part Four provides comments on the Koran. We do pray that the Lord will use this text to reveal the light of Christ, because God, who said that light will shine out of the darkness, has shone into our hearts with the light of the kmowledge of His glory in Christ. |
