Résumé : |
Faced with claims that modern science and scholarship have disproved the Bible, many Christians find themselves confused about the authority and reliability of Scripture. Is the Bible really trustworthy, or does it contain errors? Is the Old Testament historical fact, or just a collection of folk tales?
This book sets out to answer these and similar questions in a clear and straightforward manner which assumes no previous knowledge of the subjects discussed. Starting from the Bible's claims for itself, and the teaching of our Lord and the apostles, the author draws on the findings of recent scholarship which help to confirm the historical accuracy of the biblical account. He examines in detail a number of alleged inaccuracies and contradictions and concludes that, although problems remain, no error can be proved in Scripture. |
