Résumé : |
Christians agree that God heals. But does he miraculously heal people today?
Charismatic renewal, and the belief that God's kingdom is being restored here and now, have deeply influenced today's church. 'Ihe issue of charismatic gifts has focused on the question of health and supernatural healing. Are we to expect to overcome the physical limitations of ill health, age and decay? Does lack of expectancy hinder the growth of God's kingdom among us? This series faces the fact that Christians, united in a desire to live according to Scripture, sometimes disagree as to what Scripture teaches. The volumes take the form of debates in print'. Beginning from agreed starting-points, each contributor argues his or her case. Each article receives a response from a contributor who disagrees. As the debate proceeds, the reader is challenged to clarify his or her own views and to be more thoroughly biblical. We may also learn to be less dogmatic in secondary areas and more committed to what is plainly revealed. |
