Résumé : |
For centuries ancient Rabbis believed that the Messiah would be the Son of God, and that he would be despised, rejected, suffer and die as a substitutionary sacrifice for the sins of the people. Furthermore, they believed that he would come before the destruction of the Second Temple, and there were even some rabbis that believed that the Messiah would come twice! Christians claim that Jesus of Nazareth is the very fulfillment of this ancient Messianic composite. Modern rabbis, however, reject the Messianic claim of Jesus on the basis that he did not fulfill the Messianic requirements. Modern rabbis now teach a radically different view of the Messiah. Many passages that the ancient rabbis believed were Messianic are denied by modern rabbis!
Now. Powerful New Evidence from the Dead Sea Scrolls reveals that ancient Jews were expecting a supernatural Messiah who would heal the sick and resurrect the dead. Furthermore, they believed that he would suffer initial defeat only to return later in glory! This new evidence led Hebrew scholars to state that the writers of the scrolls were expecting a Messiah, “That is astonishingly quite close”, to the Christian Messianic beliefs. |
