Résumé : |
Today the Church is urgently re-examining its priorities. “Stick to preaching the Gospel,” say the traditionalists. “Christians ought first to show their concern with social issues,” claim the radicals. And in the middle stands the Christian who wants to do the right thing but isn’t sure what it is.
Larry Christenson’s advice is based on solid biblical evidence and sane reflection upon the real world in which we live. The question is not whether Christians should be responsive to social problems but where and how they should get involved. In this matter, as in all things, they must be guided by the example of Jesus, who responded with compassion to the needs which came across his path - but the need alone did not determine his action. Jesus did not take his agenda from the world. He received it from the Father. |
