Moving beyond sensational treatments of the subject, the author examines differing interpretations, then presents the biblical view of the second coming, the Antichrist, the Book of Revelation, the tribulation, the rapture, Armageddon, Ezekiel’s prophecy, the place of Israel, the millennium, the loosing of Satan, the resurrection and the last judgment, and the new creation.
The first half of the book deals with the present age, which the author defines as beginning with the garden of Eden and extending to the second coming of Christ. There are specific discussions on the signs of the times, biblical terms used for the age and its end, and the nature of the present age. The second half of the book considers what follows the second coming. It provides clear though never simplistic answers to a host of questions: Is Christ’s second coming mentioned in the Old Testament? What do Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28 have to do with Satan? Is the Antichrist already on earth? What does “chosen” mean? Where is Armageddon located? How long will the tribulation last? What does the Bible mean by “a new heaven and a new earth”? |
