Résumé : | Is hope still possible in our time? The optimism of the decades after the Second World War evaporated a long time ago, to be followed by a growing sentiment of apprehension and uncertainty regarding the future. Who still believes in a radiant tomorrow? And yet, the message of the Bible and the Gospel contains an irrefutable dimension of hope. What, then, is the relationship between that hope rooted in God and a fine human hope? This meditation on biblical hope wants to give us the courage to face the challenges of our time, avoiding the twin pitfalls of blithe irresponsability and disillusioned resignation by situating us firmly in God's today. |
