“Dr. Doukhan’s book contributes distinctively to the understanding of interfaith dialogue. It encourages a reckoning of the soul—for both Christians and Jews—to overcome theological prejudice and mistrust. Christian history has not contributed to such a reckoning. The Holocaust, as a time of complete horror, is a reminder to religious people of our joint obligation to fight against and respond to the challenge of evil.
