Résumé : |
“The Patmos Visions,” a recent volume by Mr. Philip Mauro, treating of the book of Revelation in considerable detail, and widely heralded as of much value to the student of prophecy, calls for careful consideration.
It purports to correct certain defects in the Historical view of the Apocalypse, and to show good reason for rejecting entirely the Futurist interpretation. Such a result, if warranted by the evidence, would be of very far reaching consequences in the understanding of Scripture, especially of the Old Testament. This makes the matter one of serious import. I have endeavored to carefully examine this system of teaching, and the reasons advanced for parting with prophetic views long cherished by many of God’s people, and still held by leading prophetic students of the day. We trust that help will be afforded to all interested in the prophetic Word. - John Bloore. |
