| Résumé : |
In every generation there arises on the human scene a few men who have special missions from God. I believe Glenn V. Tingley to be one of these men.
Fully dedicated to the cause of Christ, he is fearless in carrying out his call. The personal consequences do not matter. What men might think of him is of little concern. Only what he feels God requires of him is important. I have often heard him say, “One is a fool either for God or for the devil.” Believing that, he utterly cast his lot with God. Although the ministry of Glenn Tingley has reached out in many directions, its greatest impact has been in the southeastern section of the United States. And that ministry has revealed many of the characteristics of a Bible prophet. He has vigorously fought corruption and frequently engaged in the political crusades against sin and vice. Because of his bold stand, he became a target for much criticism. It has been said, “Glenn Tingley is either loved or hated.” There seems to be no neutral ground for opinions about him. But he is the kind of man that manifests the love of Christ. He loves his enemies. And detaching the man from the issue, there never has been bitterness in his heart for anyone who had done evil to him. This man exhibits unusual resiliency. Like a bobber in the water, he cannot be kept down. Even discouragements and intense pressure have not restrained him from pressing on in the mission God committed to him. Glenn Tingley is still a great preacher of the gospel, well versed in the Scriptures. A successful pastor and evangelist, he has influenced the lives of thousands. His life will live on when God calls him home. - Richard H. Harvey |
