Born in pre-communist Cuba, Manny Mill had a life defined by one success after another. Yet, by 1986, Manny found himself running from the FBI, his marriage was crumbling, his relationship with his extended Family was strained, and his self-indulgent lifestyle was reaching its inevitable dead end.
It was then that Manny encountered the pursuing grace of Jésus Christ. After surrendering his life to Jesus, Manny returned to the United States and served time in prison. In 1988, he received one of the First Charles W. Colson Scholarships awarded to ex-prisoners to attend Wheaton College. Manny’s story reads like a modern-day thriller — replete with danger and tenacity, obstacles and triumph. It cannot help but convince you that God loves all sinners and that no matter what you’ve done His love will reach out and beckon to you right where you are. And, if you’ve already surrendered to that love, you’ll kneel in awe of God’s saving grâce all over again. |
