| Résumé : |
Despite the flood of literature on the charismatic movement, little has been written about the problems it has raised in local churches. It has brought acknowledged benefits, but there is still suspicion and misunderstanding. Charismatics have found it difficult to relate their personal experience of the Holy Spirit to the on-going worship and life of their congregation.
'I have begun,' writes John Gunstone, 'with the problems that arise between an individual and the congregation when he or she is baptised in the Spirit. Then I have looked at a congregation as a creation of the Spirit and suggested ways in which individuals and groups can prepare for renewal within it. From this I have gone on to show how the charismatic movement can enrich the life and worship of a congregation, its leadership, its ministry and its mission in the neighborhood.' |
