• The 24 sectional, full-colour maps that follow were especially prepared for the 1981 /82 edition of BAZAK by the Survey of Israel on the scale of 1:250,000. 1 cm. on a map represents 2.5 km.
• In addition to the usual features (highways, secondary roads, rivers, and so on), holy places, historic sites and other points of interest are clearly indicated. For instance, there are picnic and camping sites, youth hostels and hospices, nature reserves, medicinal springs, swimming facilities and diving and underwater fishing areas, as well as fuel stations with restaurants and snack bars. • These maps comprise a unique feature in a publication of this nature and should prove extremely useful to you as you tour the country. • Map references are given at the beginning of each of the 25 tourist routes described in detail, and every major stop en route has its reference. |
