Author, minister, evangelist, apologist for the Christian faith in a secular age - Francis Schaeffer was all these things and more. With his wife, Edith, he founded and directed L'Abri Fellowship in the Swiss Alps. Thousands of questioning young people from many cultures and many professions came to L'Abri, where they found spiritual help. Thousands of other persons have been touched by Schaeffer's numerous books, tapes, and films, which include How Should We Then Live?, True Spirituality, The Cod Who Is There, Basic Bible Studies, He Is There and He Is Not Silent, and many others. Schaeffer's life and work have encouraged and stimulated thinking Christians who are confronted with the spiritual bankruptcy of the contemporary world. He has left a legacy of hope to people willing to reaffirm biblical faith in an age that denies or ignores the reality of a personal, loving God.
