Résumé : |
Since the Communists took control of mainland China there have been few accounts of the church’s work there. Andrew Gih was himself forced to leave his homeland. Work among children has always been of primary importance to the author, and in the first part of the book he describes some of his experiences and those of his helpers in shepherding his helpless charges into safety from bombs and invading armies.
Chapters six to twelve contain the essence of Andrew Gih’s message to his fellow countrymen. Now through personal visits, leaflets and radio he reaches Chinese in every corner of the far East, including Malaya, Hong Kong, Formosa, Macao, Indonesia as well as in U.S.A, and Europe. “Andrew Gih has remained in touch with happenings on the Chinese mainland . . . most interesting and encouraging is his belief that China will be opened again to the Gospel,” writes J. Edwin Orr, "he is one of the outstanding evangelists of this century. ” |
