This book presents a major contribution to the study of the doctrine of the Holy Spirit and the Gifts of the Spirit, helping the contemporary reader to secure a balanced biblical view of those gifts. The author takes into account significant developments in the understanding of the doctrine of the Holy Spirit in the lives of Christians of recent years. The original version was described as “one of the best statements for general reading on the ministry and mission of the Comforter”; this comment would be even more true of this important new edition, thoroughly revised and expanded by the author.
