Résumé : |
While the Christian church has always been concerned with how to interpret the Bible, in recent years hermeneutics has increasingly become a major focus of theological study. Traditional methods of interpreting Scripture are being re-examined, and new approaches and hermeneutical theories have appeared on the scene.
This book offers a guide both to contemporary trends in hermeneutics and to the directions major movements are taking. Drawn from a variety of sources and written by a diverse group of contributors, these essays describe methods of biblical hermeneutics, assess current hermeneutical approaches, and offer representational viewpoints from contemporary biblical interpreters. |
